Durban native Ternielle Nelson is a South African singer and songwriter. Known for her distinctive vocal and neo soulful sound, she also skillfully strums the guitar on some of her performances. Ternielle recorded her debut album at Jazzworx studios in Johannesburg, produced, guided and mentored by Selaelo Selota, the album UNEARTHED was later released through Sony Music.
Ternielle has spent the last few years growing as an independent artist, learning from the many creatives that have influenced her unique style. The earliest being Vicky Simpson’s African dream, followed by African songstress Simphiwe Dana - Ndiredi during her years at music school. A lot of her inspiration was intrigued and brought on by Malian Singer Songwriter Salif Keita, the singer also takes a liking to Jill Scott and Singer Sade Adu.
